Judith Pape is a doctoral researcher based at ICTA-UAB. Within the REAL project, she focuses on political transformations through and with social movements in Europe. Judith holds a master’s in Sociology from University Freiburg, Germany, and was a Junior Fellow at the Research Institute for Sustainability in Potsdam between 2022 and 2023. In this time, she helped civic projects in Germany formalise Commons-Public Partnerships with local authorities in service to social-ecological transformations from the bottom up. For her, degrowth is the strongest and most convincing project to transform our societies towards mitigation, justice, and reparation.
