PERSONAL PAGE

Julia Grosinger is a postdoctoral researcher based at ICTA-UAB Barcelona. She conducts research on social-ecological relations, and regional development. Within REAL, she works on developing an improved understanding on the role of local places in satisfying people’s fundamental needs, and providing a good quality of life.

Julia holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science, a master’s in Social Ecology from the Institute for Interdisciplinary Studies Vienna, Austria, and a PhD in urbanism and territorial development from the University of Grenoble, France. For her, degrowth means decoupling wellbeing from excessive consumption patterns. Julia is the recipient of a Juan de la Cierva postdoctoral scholarship.
